I could go for a grilled cheese sandwich

I'm feeling obligated to update this thing since it's been awhile, and i'm sure everyones been doing nothing but sitting at their computers hitting the refresh button for the last few weeks, waiting for the next post. So here ya go, give that refresh button a break.

Not much new, working a lot this week, so thats fun. Ooo, ya and I did my taxes the other night and according to my calculations the government still wants $13.98 of my money. Ontario Health Premium?? Whats that? Whatever it is it cost me 300 bucks. Guess those new brakes for my car can wait.. I hope. Last thing I want is to be careening down the highway, watching sparks flying around behind me as my non-existant brake pads give way to metal on metal screeching. Stay tuned, time will tell. Duh dUh duH.

What else what else.. well I didn't get the TTC job, can't say i'm completely stupefied by that, oh well. More and more i'm feeling like the law enforcement/security/whatever job isn't for me anyways. Suuure it would have been nice to know that before the schooling and money and eye surgery and whatever else, but thats life I guess. Thats not to say it still won't happen, it's just to say I don't know if it will happen soon. I do however feel like I actually do have an idea of what I would like doing, and would like to do in the future as a career or whatever, which is cool since i've been pretty lost on that question basically my whole adult life. I'd like to own and operate a restaurant/sportsbar type of thing. I think this would be the perfect job for me. You get to deal with the public, which i'm generally good at, and you get to work with people who have similar interests and are fun, and you have no boss. Getting started is the hard part obviously. So for now it's slogging it out in whatever job i'm in, and trying to build my credit, until maybe one day this will come around. Until then, it's just living in the present and making the most of it.

Can't think of anything else right now, hope everyone has a good weekend.. Oh ya i'm likely going to come home next weekend, i'll let ya know.. just stand by the phone with your hand hovering over the receiver at all times, waiting with bated breath, while simultaneously hitting the refresh button.

I'm Significant! screamed the dust speck

Well, today I went in for pre-interview testing for the TTC Special Constable position. If I get in it'd be like winning the lottery, starting at 56,000/year. Too bad I think my chances are about the same as actually winning the lottery. 1700 people applied, 500 went to the pre-interview testing and preliminary background questioning today, 120 go to the panel interview, 20 go to the psych test and background check, then 11 go for training for ten months, and if they pass that, they're hired on. So I have a few hurdles to go through still. But hey, someones got to win the lottery right?
