Why not

Just a random update in case I ever look at this thing and wonder what i was doing in 2008 a decade from now or something. At that point I'm sure i'll have my life together and I'll be able to look back and say "wow, everything was so uncertain back then.. I'm glad everything worked out so well - being rich and famous really didn't come easy!" Something like that anyways.

So here's the news from the last year. Florida was great (last Christmas). It was basically my first real vacation.. hopfully the next is not too far away. I came back and got into a new relationship, and throughout the summer it's been quite busy with time spent with her/friends/trips to home and always work. The highlight of the summer was a road trip to Montreal for a weekend and going up to the Ottawa river for whitewater rafting.. i'll put a video up on facebook from that trip but i'm still waiting to get my burnt copy of it. I also went to a good concert not too long ago featuring Rise Against (for the 4th time now!?!) and Thrice. It was a good show, but cost me an expensive ticket since I waited until it was sold out to get one and also a nights work which I called in sick for. So basically it was a $200 concert. Oh well that's life.. it probably wasn't the best choice since money's always tight.. but that doesn't mean it wasn't the right choice. Sometimes you just have to do what you feel like doing even if it's not what you should be doing. That's basically it I suppose. In recent news I've got a new job doing security at the art gallery of ontario. That will end my run at the hospital after over 2 years which has been honestly one of the better jobs I've ever had. Met lots of people there and made some friends and learned a lot. I'm still going to stay on casual to pick up random shifts there once in awhile. Ultimatly the decision to change was because of the hours and money. I'm sure the AGO will be a little more calm and slow-paced, but that's ok, I think I do calm well. This year has really gone by very quick and it's been a busy summer. I'm actually looking forward to try saving money over the winter and spending some cold nights inside watching movies or hockey. If anyone actually reads this, I hope i'll see you along the way!
